Born and bred in Nottingham (UK), Nick Gibbs grew up amongst the Midlands folk and classical music scene,
and has toured with bands across
North America and Europe from 2000 to the present day.
Earning a DipMus and BA in his early career,
following classical highlights with
the Bristol Symphonia and performances live on BBC Radio 3, Nick later transitioned
to the folk-rock scene, performing around the world
with the Bleeing Hearts, FolkLaw, Inkubus Sukkubus, and supporting bands including
the Darkness, the Levellers, and Shane McGowan.
Now operating under the
Fiddle of 8 Records Label, Nick continues to tour and perform around the world with
his main band
FolkLaw and
arranges and records string parts for artists from folk, to rock, to blues.
